Hello friends and guest this is our FAQ page and we will have a featured list of common FAQ'S that have been sent into us in the past so that you can use this page as a guide in answering any questions that you may have. We hope this FAQ section helps answer any questions and concerns that you have, but if it doesn't then simply please use the How this site works section or the Contact Us section and see if your questions or concerns are addressed!

1.) Q: Is there any age group, or age restrictions applied on cooltypingtest.com?

A:) Answer is no, we have zero age restrictions on this site as it is user friendly and family safe for all age groups, although we have no age restrictions we should state the site typing test is geared for students in the first grade all the way up to the twelfth grade.

2.) Q: Is this cool typing test site 100 % free to use for everyone?

A:) Answer is yes, we are free to use this site for kids, teens, students and adults alike and always will be. Noe we created the site for teachers to aid students with typing skills, but the site remains open and free to any user that seeks to become an avid typist.

3.) Q: How is the site supposed to work for teachers?

A:) Answer is the site is designed for teachers that offer a computer class or technology class to have a free resource to teach kids, and students how to type correctly, and type at a faster wpm rate in a free fun way online!

4.) Q: What is a reasonable WPM rate for a beginner?

A:) Answer is the 33 WPM is average for any beginner and after you use our free WPM test for a few weeks you should expect to attain an average of 55 WPM.

5.) Q: Can someone benefit from only using sections on this site?

A:) Answer is yes, but the benefit will be limited to what features you use. An example is if you just use the spelling section, you will only benefit in your spelling arena. We suggest that you use the spelling first, then vocabulary and then the free typing section and then move on to the WPM section and then to the typing speed test section to get the best results.

6.) Q: In which section should teachers start students on?

A: Teachers should first ask this question, what are my students needs? Then you will be better informed on what section to start free lessons on. We suggest that you start younger crowds with spelling, then vocabulary then wpm and then speed typing test and watch for approvements along the way and if your happy with the suggested recommendations keep with them if not find a system that best suites your students learning needs.

7.) Q: What percent of test is geared for k through 8th grade?

A:) Answer is we have around 5% of the test geared for k through 8th grade. This is alphabet test and basic keyboarding skills for beginners and easy spelling and vocabulary test with crossword puzzles to help the younger crowds.

8.) Q: What percent of test are geared for high school students?

A:) Answer to this question is easy we have around 40% of typing test geared for this age group. These games are in the best typing section and can easily be accessed by the site menu.

9.) Q: Is this site designed to help aid special needs students or students with disabilities?

A:) Answer is  The site has no special needs section added yet but we are working to address this concern in the near future and will update users in the near future. We recommend that teachers and parents use the lower level easy games for students that have trouble learning with typing, spelling and vocabulary.

10.) Q: What is the average time for a teacher or parent using this site for their students, or kids to improve their skills in typing, spelling and vocabulary?

A:) Answer is that this will drastically differ between the student, or kid as they all learn differently. In theory the more they practice the better they will get. Simply make sure they use each section an even amount.
